Suriya thanks Karuppu crew, tells RJ Balaji 'Respect your manifestation powers'

The Karuppu star expressed his gratitude to the audience for the positive reception of the film and his cast and crew for their work

Actor Suriya's Karuppu, directed by and co-starring RJ Balaji, has opened to positive response from the audience, despite mixed reviews from critics. Many viewers cheered for the hero elevation moments in the film and left the cinema halls with thunderous applause. Suriya took to social media to express his gratitude to the audience and to his film's team for sticking to their guns amidst multiple delays. Appearing on video, the actor said that he cannot thank the audience enough for the reception, especially after its delayed release.

The actor wrote, "The love, name and fame we are getting from across the globe, goes to the entire cast and crew of Karuppu who believed and worked hard." He made special mentions of the film's producers SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures. Reportedly, they agreed to Suriya's assurance of debt clearance on their behalf to ensure the film's timely release.

He also thanked editor R Kalaivanan "for focusing solely on our film till we locked the edit." The actor added, referring to the editor, "You balanced our work alongside your newborn, much appreciate."

One of the highlights of the film is Sai Abhyankkar's music. About it, Suriya wrote, "Happy for the love you are getting. You are the backbone for our film to have this level of vibe and celebration in theaters." It is worth noting that audiences have appreciated Sai's soundtrack for the film, especially the viral song 'Verappa'.

Referring to the film's cinematographer , Suriya wrote, "GK Vishnu Bawa! Respect for the immense love you had for me while filming. You and your team worked day and night to give your best. Your love is the ‘magic dust’ on Karuppu."

Finally, the actor reserved the biggest compliment for his director and co-star RJ Balaji. "You promised me a blockbuster and you've also earned everybody's love while delivering it. Respect to your Manifestation powers. Shine brighter," Suriya wrote.
