

Director-actor RJ Balaji and actor Suriya's film, Karuppu has opened in theatres to a whopping response from fans. While critics have mostly shared mixed opinions about the film, fans have embraced the Suriya starrer, at least judging by the initial response. In India alone, it has grossed around 18 crore from theatres.
Following the response, some supporting artists have been sharing their experience working on the film. For example, actor Anandhi Ajay expressed her delight at the response for the film but also her sadness for her portions from it being deleted in the final cut. "Very happy that I was casted in this movie.. Experience is important I learnt a lot from this team," she wrote on Instagram.
Echoing the faith-based message in the film, the actor said that whatever 'Karuppasamy' (Lord Karuppu) does, in her case her portions being deleted, there would be a reason for it.
She expressed her gratitude for RJ Balaji and producer Dream Warrior Pictures for "this beautiful opportunity". Describing herself as an admirer of Suriya, she congratulated him on the 'mega blockbuster'. Regarding Trisha, she said, "You look so pretty on screen, ma'am. Hope to work (with you) soon in upcoming movies."
While expressing her sadness at not being part of the final cut, the actor said that she is not "trying hard enough". She ended her note expressing hope for the future and her faith in the supportive audience.
Karuppu tells the story of the titular God that appears on Earth seeing the suffering of people due to a corrupt justice system. The film also stars Indrans, Natty, Swasika, Anagha Maya Ravi, Sshivadha, and Supreeth Reddy, among others. Sai Abhyankkar has been getting much appreciation for the music in the film, especially the track 'Verappa'.
