There is still some uncertainty regarding whether Vijay will become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, as the Governor has asked him to prove majority. Earlier, the actor's party TVK fell short of the majority required for governance, which is 118 seats. TVK got 108 seats, which in itself is an impressive figure for a relatively new party. Amidst the uncertainty, Vijay's longtime friend and actor Sriman weighed in on the discourse.
Appearing in a video on social media, Sriman said that it is common for the process to take some time, although he expressed his confidence in his friend becoming the CM of Tamil Nadu. "The respect that Vijay gives to the law will definitely give him justice," Sriman said.
"You will come to power, and we will wait for the function to start soon," Sriman said, referring to the superstar. "This time, my friend should come to power and become the CM for the first time. This is my wish, and it is not wrong to wish for something," Sriman added.
He also hoped that Vijay and his party would gradually get whatever they need to prove majority. "For that, God should pave the way. Good things should happen. Stay confident," the actor said.
Sriman also used a nickname he often uses for the superstar, 'Vijuma,' and doubted whether he would be able to call him that after he becomes the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
The actor said that the political situation in the state is full of twists as well. "The pre climax is like film thriller suspense sentiment social film," he said before adding that he cannot take it anymore. "Vijay will come for sure and rule. Just waiting for the official announcement," he added.
