Vijay's parents SA Chandrasekhar and Shoba express pride on son's victory: 'He will do a big change...'

As reported earlier, Vijay and his Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) cadres are in a celebratory state as the actor is on the way to clinch a majority in the Tamil Nadu assembly election results and form a government.

While an overwhelming praise has been coming in from Vijay's co-stars and other members of the film fraternity, the actors parents—veteran director-actor SA Chandrasekhar and his wife Shoba have expressed pride on their son's unanimous victory in the state.

In an interview with ANI, SA Chandrasekhar shared his hopes for his son's political stint, saying, "He will definitely do a big change in Tamil Nadu. I am confident about that." Vijay's mother Shoba Chandrasekhar also said she was "very happy" with the results. Echoing her thoughts, Chandrasekhar replied, "She is not only his mother, but is also the first fan of Vijay."

Vijay's relatives have also been rejoicing at his victory at SA Chandrasekhar's residence. The TVK chief's cousin too shared her thoughts saying, "He is a young and energetic person and everyone in Tamil Nadu is expecting that the biggest change through him and definitely we believe that he can do the best among everybody... In his last speech, he said the last speech that people believe in me so much... What he speaks about before the election, he will definitely make sure that it happens... It is an enormous victory."

Earlier in the day, SA Chandrasekhar offered prayers at the Subramanyaswamy Temple in Tiruttani hours before the counting for the results began.

For the unversed, Vijay's party members had contested in all of the 234 seats in the state while he stood from two constituences - Perambur and Tiruchirappalli East. The actor is currently leading in votes from both the constituencies.
