Ken Karunas has made his debut as a director and as a lead actor with Youth, which hit theatres on March 19, Thursday. The film has already received positive reviews from critics and audiences. According to the industry tracker Sacnilk, it has grossed 8.17 crore in the first two days of its release as well.

With positive reports coming in for the film from multiple places, its director-actor Ken addressed the press and media recently. During the interaction, he was asked about his actor father Karunas' response to the movie. Responding to the question, Ken said, "We saw the film at Devi Theatre last night, and my father became very emotional. Tears came from his eyes watching the audience's response. Watching him tear up with joy has also brought happiness to me as his son."

Also starring Anishma Anilkumar, Devadarshini, and Suraj Venjaramoodu, among others, Youth tells the story of a teenager (Ken) hellbent on finding true love as his school life nears an end. In the process, he discovers what it means to fall in love at his age.

In our Youth movie review, Avinash Ramachandran wrote, "As we walk out of the theatres, we are given a chance to reminisce on our own school lives that were filled with random conversations, first brushes with love, issues that meant the world back then, and of course, heartbreaks."

The film marked Ken's debut as an actor in a lead role after supporting roles in movies, such as the Dhanush starrer Asuran, to name one.
