Actor Dhanush has wished the team of Happy Raj by sharing his short review of the GV Prakash starrer.

On his X handle, the actor wrote, "I have seen the film, and it's a super funny and surprisingly touching one from GV Prakash and team. Wishing the best of luck." He wrote the post sharing the trailer of the film, directed by debutant Maria Raja Elanchezian.

It is worth noting that GV Prakash and Dhanush have been long-time collaborators. The duo have worked together in films like Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Mayakkam Enna, Vaathi, Captain Miller and Idli Kadai.

While Sri Gouri Priya plays the female lead, Abbas and George Maryan also play prominent roles in the film. The film also stars Prarthna, Geetha Kailasam, Madurai Muthu, Adhirchi Arun, and Devi Mahesh, among others.

In an interview with Cinema Express, the film's director Maria Raja Elanchezhian, who worked as an assistant director to Pradeep Ranganathan in Love Today, said, "He (PR) pointed out that my strength lies in my comical one-liners and that my contribution helped the jokes land in Love Today. That was how I conceptualised the film."

Produced by Jayavardhanan and co-produced by Jaikanth Suresh, Happy Raj has music by Justin Prabhakaran, cinematography by Madhan Christopher, editing by Selva RK, and art direction by Kumar Gangappan. The film is releasing in theatres on March 27.

Meanwhile, Dhanush, last seen in Tere Ishk Mein by Aanand L Rai, will have his next release on April 30 with Kara, directed by Vignesh Raja.
