Ken Karunaas is currently in the middle of promoting his upcoming film, Youth, which is his directorial debut. The romantic comedy is set to release on March 19.

In an exclusive interview with CE, Ken shared about how he feels about the positive response from the audience. He said, "Genuinely, I didn't expect such a massive response from the audience. Today, when I see so many people saying, 'We are expecting a lot from this movie’, I find myself thinking, 'Are you really waiting for my film?' My only ambition was to make a movie and have it entertain everyone. But the feeling of having someone expect things from my film, the same way we usually expect things from other big movies is entirely new to me. I’ve never felt this way before."

He added, "Until now, I was just playing a character in everyone else's films. Back then, the hype for the movie belonged to that specific hero. I was just a part of it. But today, knowing there is hype for my film, that people are talking about it this much, and that a song has reached so many people, that feeling is just unbelievable. I'm grateful for it.”

The cast of the film also includes Anishma Anilkumar, Devadarshini Chetan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Priyanshi Yadav, Meenakshi Dinesh and Abison Thevarasa. Karuppiah C Ram produces the film under the banner of Paarvathaa Entertainments. Music for the Youth is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
