Earlier this Friday, actors Jiiva and Arya dropped the first-look cum title poster for a new film, starring Adithya Bhaskar and Gouri Kishan in the lead role. Titled Love and War, the film is written and directed by debutant Rajkumar Rangasamy. It brings Aadhitya Baaskar and Gouri Kishan back together after their collaboration on '96, directed by C Prem Kumar. Notably, Adithya Bhaskar and Gouri Kishan played the younger versions of Ram (Vijay Sethupathi) and Jaanu (Trisha) in the 2018 film.

Love and War is produced by Kanna Bhaskar under the Origin Studios banner, which marks its debut with the film. According to a source close to the project, it is expected to be fun-filled, feel-good family entertainer. The film also stars K Bhagyaraj, Redin Kingsley, Saras Menon, Jeeva Ravi, TSR, and Nanditha Sreekumar, among others.

Speaking about the film, director Rajkumar Rangasamy said, "The story is all about how small issues that could easily be sorted out with a simple conversation often become much bigger because of ego and anger. Through this film, we wanted to remind people not to lose valuable relationships over unnecessary misunderstandings. At the same time, we've made it in a way that audiences of all ages can enjoy."

The director added, "Love and War is the kind of film that lets you forget your everyday worries and just enjoy the moment. It's filled with laughter, emotions, and feel-good moments that will remind you of some beautiful memories from your own life. He believes audiences will leave the theatre feeling refreshed, happy, and with a smile they'll carry home.
And finally, I believe Aadhitya Baaskar and Gouri Kishan have a really fresh and natural chemistry on screen."

On the technical front, Love and War has composer MS Jones Rupert, cinematographer L Ramachandran, and editor Bharath Vikraman. The film is set to have its release soon.
