Director Aishwarya Rajinikanth, daughter of veteran actor Rajinikanth, was spotted along with her younger son, Linga, at the Arulmigu Arunachaleswarar Temple in Tiruvannamalai on Sunday. As per reports, the filmmaker took her son ahead of his birthday. Her visit comes just days after music composer Anirudh Ravichander, who is also her cousin, paid a visit to the temple.

Incidentally, the visit also comes after the title reveal of Dhanush's 55th film, helmed by Rajkumar Periasamy. The title glimpse established that the film, titled Om, was set in Tiruvannamalai. In the video, when lumberjacks are arrested by the police, they're seen saying, "Annamalaiyarukku Arohara!" before Dhanush comes to save a day. Aishwarya Rajinikanth's visit to the temple, along with their son, comes as a coincidence.

Also known as Annamalaiyar Temple, the main deity at the place of worship represents the element of fire. The myth around it centres on Lord Shiva appearing in the form of an infinite pillar of fire in order to humble Lord Vishnu and Brahma.

On the work front, Aishwarya Rajinikanth has commenced production on her next directorial venture, Texla. Set against a rural backdrop decades ago, the film is expected to revolve around the world of children and will be headlined by Jai and Suraj Venjaramoodu. The film marks the maiden collaboration between the actors and the filmmaker.

Composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, who worked with the director on the film Vai Raja Vai, is reuniting with her on Texla. Kannan Ravi of KRG Group, the banner behind Jiiva's Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil, is producing the film. Cinematographer Vishnu Rangasamy, editor GK Prasanna, and stunt choreographer Anl Arasu make up the rest of the technical team. Apart from Tamil, Texla will have a release in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Aishwarya Rajinikanth, who made her debut with the Dhanush-starrer 3 in 2012, last helmed Lal Salaam (2024), starring Vishnu Vijay and Vikranth in lead roles, with Rajinikanth appearing in a special cameo.
