Venkat Prabhu to reunite with Jai and Shiva for another comedy entertainer?

With Venkat Prabhu's film with Sivakarthikeyan getting delayed, the filmmaker is reportedly planning to do a quick film with Jai and Shiva

Venkat Prabhu last made The Greatest of All Time (GOAT) with Vijay in 2024. Since then, the filmmaker has openly revealed his plans to make a film with Sivakarthikeyan. Officially titled SK26, the film came after the actor's hit outing with Amaran. The duo had even travelled to Los Angeles for pre-production to undergo high-end digital scanning for the film, touted to be an ambitious sci-fi film. However, the film has been delayed owing to the scale of the project.

Amidst this, Venkat Prabhu is looking at making a quick project before heading back to working on the Sivakarthikeyan movie. According to reports, Jai and Shiva have been roped in for the film which is expected to be a comedy entertainer akin to their previous hits Chennai 600028 (2007), Saroja (2008) and Goa (2010).

But an official news from the cast members regarding the same is yet to arrive. Further details regarding the extended cast, plot and release date updates have been kept under wraps.

Meanwhile, the yet-to-be-titled Sivakarthikeyan film will reportedly have music by AR Rahman. While there were rumours about the project being shelved, there has been no confirmation about the same from the makers and as of now, the film remains on track. Recently, Ramya Nambessan also confirmed being a part of the cast.

Sivakarthikeyan is currently involved in the filming of Seyon with Thaai Kizhavi filmmaker Sivakumar Murugesan. It stars Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead which marks her sophomore Tamil film after last year's Kaantha. It also stars Bala Saravanan and Aruldoss in key roles.
