Director Venkat Prabhu recently took his time out to watch Steven Spielberg's latest sci-fi film Disclosure Day, which hit theatres on Friday. A Spielberg fan, the filmmaker called it an "intense adventure drama" in the genre. "For those who loved Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial kind of movies...I enjoyed it," he wrote on his X handle.
He further noted that it was an "OG Spielberg movie" and thanked him for continuing his association with noted composer John Williams.
Disclosure Day's plotline follows cybersecurity expert Daniel Kellner and meteorologist Margaret Fairchild as they uncover and broadcast decades of government-concealed evidence of alien life. Pursued by a shadowy government contractor, they use telepathic abilities and alien technology to broadcast the truth to the world.
