Actor Suriya, who made a box-office comeback with RJ Balaji's Karuppu earlier this year, is back with his 46th outing, Vishwanath and Sons. Helmed by Venky Atluri, the film is gearing up to open in theatres on August 14.

With just two weeks left for the film's release, fans had already begun asking when and where the film's audio launch was scheduled to take place. The film also stars Mamitha Baiju in the lead role, and Raveena Tandon, who makes her comeback to Tamil cinema 25 years after Aalavandhan.

With a video glimpse, Sithara Entertainments, the makers of Vishwanath and Sons announced on Friday that the audio launch of the Suriya-starrer is set to take place on August 2 at Hindusthan College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore. GV Prakash is the music composer for the film. Suriya and GV last collaborated on Soorarai Pottru, for which they received the National Film Awards.

Vishwanath and Sons tells a story of romance between a middle-aged man and a woman who is half as old as he is. The makers describe it as "a heartfelt journey of dreams, emotions, and unexpected love". Suriya's character in the film, namely Sanjay Vishwanath, is inspired by the actor's own businessperson from Ghajini.

The film also stars Radikaa Sarathkumar, Nasser, Sudha, Raghu Babu, Sunil Reddy, Bhavani Sri, Viva Harsha, Kaali Venkat, George Maryan, Hyper Aadhi, Srija Ravi, Sarvadaman Banerjee, Mathew Varghese, Kalyani Natarajan, Karate Karthik, and Master Charvik.

The film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, respectively. It is presented by Srikara Studios. Apart from GV Prakash, its technical team includes cinematographer Nimish Ravi, editor Navin Nooli, and production designer Banglan.
