Filmmaker Venky Atluri, whose Vishwanath and Sons starring Suriya awaits a release, said there will not be any relatability problems with his upcoming film.
In a conversation with Sudhir Srinivasan, the filmmaker said that though in the film Suriya plays a rich man, his problems will be relatable. He added that in Lucky Baskhar, Dulquer has financial problems and in Vishwanath and Sons Suriya has an emotional problem. He said that the financial status of the protagonist alone does not measure relatability, and Suriya's problems are very commonplace.
Besides Suriya, the film stars Mamitha Biju, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Nasser, Sudha, Raghu Babu, Sunil Reddy, Bhavani Sri, Viva Harsha, Kaali Venkat, George Maryan, Hyper Aadhi, Srija Ravi, Sarvadaman Banerjee, Mathew Varghese, Kalyani Natarajan, Karate Karthik, and Master Charvik. The film marks Venky Atluri's comeback to Tamil cinema after Dhanush's Vaathi released in 2023. It was simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu.
Naga Vamsi is backing the film under the Sithara Entertainments banner along with Sai Soujanya, who has also produced it under Fortune Four Cinemas. Srikara Studios is presenting the film. GV Prakash is composing music, Nimish Ravi is the cinematographer, and Navin Nooli is the editor. Vishwanath and Sons is slated for an August 14 release in theatres worldwide.
