Vikram's next, tentatively titled Chiyaan 63 is now Power House. The makers unveiled a powerful title promo on Monday, on the occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi. Vikram is seen alongside Riya Shibu in the upcoming Anand Shankar directorial.
The title glimpse features a back shot of Vikram carrying a plantain thar inside his old-style house, giving a '100% guarantee' for weddings he undertakes as caretaker. Mekha Rajan, Subash Selvam, and Samyuktha Hegde are seen reporting to him after completing tasks assigned to them. We are then introduced to a daydreaming Riya Shibu, who is introduced as Vikram's niece.
The scene then shifts to banter between Urvashi and VTV Ganesh as they prepare a meal in the kitchen. Even as Vikram goes to the store room for some stocks, we see his 'Anniyan' side as two men are seen severely injured inside the room. Vikram mops blood with suave, introducing to his other side as a mysterious, ruthless man.
On the technical front, Power House has composer Santhosh Narayanan. In the latest announcement post, Sathya Jyothi Films has tagged cinematographer RD Rajasekar and multihyphenate Gopi Prasanna, who also works as a production designer, and costume designer-stylist Poornima Ramaswamy.
Produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under the Sathya Jyothi Films banner, the upcoming film also stars Riya Shibu and Shammy Thilakan. It is worth noting that Riya Shibu produced Vikram's last film, Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, which hit theatres in March last year.
Earlier, Anand and Vikram collaborated on 2016's Iru Mugan. The film hit theatres in 2016 and received mixed reviews from both critics and audiences, although it fared well at the worldwide box office. Reports say that Iru Mugan earned a gross collection of about 100 crore at the global box office.
