Actor and chef Madhampatty Rangaraj took to social media to release a statement regarding the custody and care of his son, Ragha Rangaraj. Ragha is Rangaraj's son through his marriage with fashion designer Joy Crizilda.

Taking to his X handle Rangraj wrote,"For the past six months, I have been fulfilling my duties as a father to my son Ragha, with full responsibility and love. I officially declare that henceforth I will support Ragha Rangaraj's welfare, happiness and future with full responsibility and love."

Rangaraj also shared a photo of him and his son along with the statement. Meanwhile, Joy also took to her X page to share the photo, and captioned it by writing, "Father and son ♥️🧿🙏."

The legal battle between Rangaraj and Joy began with the latter levying allegations of cheating on the former, among other allegations. More recently, after the Madras High Court allowed for DNA testing to assert paternity over the child, Joy revealed that the test showed that the child was Rangaraj's own child.

Rangaraj has acted in Mehendi Circus (2019) and Penguin (2020), andd appeared as a judge in the comedy culinary reality show, Cooku with Comali.
