Chef-cum-actor Madhampatty Rangaraj has been embroiled in a controversy surrounding Joy Crizildaa, who has levelled multiple allegations against him, including cheating. Now, a genetic test has been conducted on him, the results of which have been submitted in a sealed cover to mediator and retired judge PN Prakash. The Madras High Court was further informed of this by the Advocate Commissioner.
Fashion designer Joy Crizildaa had earlier posted on social media alleging that Madhampatty Rangaraj had deceived her after marriage, and she had also tagged the Madhampatty Pakashala company in those posts.
Challenging this, Madhampatty Pakashala filed a case in the Madras High Court. The court, while hearing the matter, appointed retired High Court judge PN Prakash as mediator to facilitate talks between Madhampatty Rangaraj and Joy Crizildaa.
During the proceedings, Joy Crizildaa’s side requested that a DNA test be conducted to establish that Madhampatty Rangaraj is the father of her child. Madhampatty Rangaraj’s side also expressed willingness to undergo the test.
Following petitions from both parties, the Madras High Court directed the appointment of an advocate commissioner to coordinate with the forensic department and laboratory at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital to carry out the genetic testing.
When the case came up again before Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy, the advocate commissioner informed the court that the DNA test had been completed and the results had been submitted in a sealed cover to mediator PN Prakash. Both parties also informed the court that mediation proceedings between them are ongoing. Following this, Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy adjourned the hearing of the case to June 8.
Madhampatty Rangaraj and Joy Crizildaa have been in the eye of controversies since their marriage earlier last year. Soon after, she announced her pregnancy. Weeks later, the latter accused him of cheating and abandoning her, as well as making her fight for her life along with the rights of her then unborn child. She stated that Rangaraj concealed the existence of his first wife and tricked her into marrying him. Joy also reportedly stated that he had cheated many women like her.
