After a long row of public brawl between actor and celebrity chef Madhampatty Rangaraj and fashion designer Joy Crizildaa, the issue is seemingly coming to a closure as Rangaraj has acknowledged his marriage with Joy before the Tamil Nadu Commission for Women at a recent hearing. The actor had also admitted that he is the father of Joy's newborn child whom she gave birth to, a few days ago.
Madhampatty Rangaraj and Joy Crizildaa have been in the eye of controversies since their marriage earlier this year. Soon after, she announced her pregnancy. Weeks later, the latter accused him of cheating and abandoning her, as well as making her fight for her life along with the rights of her then unborn child. She stated that Rangaraj concealed the existence of his first wife and tricked her into marrying him. Joy also reportedly stated that he had cheated many women like her.
A legal battle followed with her filing a complaint against Rangaraj. At the recent investigation before The Tamil Nadu Commission for Women, Rangaraj, after multiple times of denial, admitted to have married her and revealed that he is the father of Joy's newborn child. Sharing the news on her social media handles, Joy said, "In the recent investigation conducted by the Women’s Commission, my so-called husband, Mr. Madhampatty Rangaraj, has admitted the truth — that he fell in love with me, married me, and that this child is his. Justice will prevail."
The Commission, headed by AS Kumari, has further recommended the Greater Chennai Police to initiate criminal proceedings against Rangaraj after her complaint.
Madhampatty Rangaraj is well known as a TV personality and has served as a judge in reality shows. He is legally married to Shruthi, a lawyer, and has two children.
