We had previously reported about actor Ashwin Kumar, Jayaram and Asha Sarath joining hands for an upcoming film titled Good News. The makers of the project have now announced that its first schedule of filming has been successfully wrapped. Nagendra Murugan, who has previously worked as an associate of director Pandiraaj, is making his directorial debut with this film.

The makers had also shared a one-minute-long behind-the-scenes video, which hilariously portrays the various quirks and antics of the stars, especially Ashwin and Jayaram. The cast of the upcoming film includes debutant Kalyani Anil, Muthukumar, Jaffer, Kuraishi, Deepa, Vinothini, Divya, and Manimegalai, among others.

Although plot details are currently unknown, the film promises to be a family drama filled with comedy and fun elements.

Siddhu Kumar is composing music for Good News. The crew of the film also includes cinematographer Praveenkumar, editor Arjune Babu, and art director Karthickvasan.

Saivinoth Jayakumar is producing the film under his Movietron Production banner. Saiprabhu Jayakumar is serving as a co-producer along with LM Dhanasehar on board as the executive producer.

Ashwin Kumar, who has been part of Enna Solla Pogirai (2022) and Sembi (2022), was last seen in Hot Spot 2 Much. Meanwhile, Jayaram recently reunited with Urvashi in Parimala and Co.
