Ilaiyaraaja, who has a number of film projects in the pipeline, is all set to compose music for a small-budget film titled Thattuvandi. On Monday, the makers of the film announced that principal photography on the film has been completed, with post-production currently progressing at a brisk pace.
The team is presently working on song recordings and background score, while the remaining post-production work is also underway. Backed by Survival Pictures, Thattuvandi stars child actor Raghavan and director-actor Vijayabhaskar in the lead roles. The cast also includes Dileepan, Mary Bency Gloria and Thangadurai in pivotal roles.
The film is directed by Vijayabhaskar. As per the filmmakers, Thattuvandi is mounted as a story with a distinct narrative. With the project now in its final stages of post-production, the makers are expected to announce the film's theatrical release date soon.
On the work front, Ilaiyaraaja is working on a few much-anticipated projects, including Pocket Novel, Thiagarajan Kumararaja's third feature directorial, starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. He is also composing music for Karthik Subbaraj's tenth yet-to-be-titled film, backed by Guneet Monga, Achin Jain, Jyoti Deshpande, Jio Studios and Sikhya Entertainment. Besides these two, it was also recently revealed that he will work with Mari Selvaraj for his upcoming sixth film titled Manjanathi which also stars Kayadu Lohar and Priyanka Mohan.
