Actor-turned-chief minister Vijay's son, Jason Sanjay's debut directorial Sigma is progressing at a brisk pace, with lead actor Sundeep Kishan recently confirming that he has completed dubbing for the movie. While a release date is yet to be confirmed, excitement has been high among fans who are also expecting an acting debut from Jason Sanjay soon.

Talking about his directorial dreams and his upcoming film, Jason had also hinted about making his acting debut soon. In a recent interview with Ananda Vikatan magazine, Jason said, "When you're a director and you explain a scene to actors on set... there's an actor in me too. But he will only come out after the release of Sigma." This has given hopes to fans who are anticipating his debut in front of the screen.

Elsewhere in the interview, he mentioned why he chose to do a heist film. "When I made my commitment to directing films, a lot of people, judging my age, had thought that I would helm a romantic story. However, the prospect of making a heist film with a gang, instead of creating a love story with two people, excited me," he explained, underlining that his first choice was actor Sundeep Kishan when he decided on making a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. "He loved my story and screenplay and immediately said yes to my film," he added.

The ensemble cast of Sigma includes Faria Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Anbu Thasan, Yog Japee, Sampath Raj, Kiran Konda, and Magalakshmi Sudharsanan, along with several cameo appearances.

According to the makers, it is a "high-stakes heist" film, offering a combination of action, humour, heist, and treasure-hunt elements.

Sigma’s technical crew features music composer Thaman, cinematographer Krishnan Vasant, editor Praveen KL, and art director Benjamin M. The film is slated to release in theatres on July 31.
