We had earlier reported that actor Vikranth has signed his next film, directed by debutant Joseph Deepan S. The latest update from the makers of the upcoming untitled film is that Darbuka Siva has joined as the music composer.

Darbuka entered the film scene as an actor in Rajathandhiram (2015). He went on to star in Thodari (2016) and in a cameo appearance in his directorial debut Mudhal Nee Mudivum Nee (2022), in which he also composed music. As a composer, Sasikumar's Kidaari (2016) marked his first film. His composer credits include Balle Vellaiyathevaa (2016), Nimir (2017), Enai Noki Paayum Thota (2019), Rocky (2021), Dominic and the Ladies' Purse (Malayalam debut) and Tharunam (2025).

The yet-to-be-titled film is produced by R Sasi Kumar and Fazall Raja under their banners IQ Cinemas and Little Crew Production.

Vikranth's recent appearance was in Ganesh Karthikeyan's LBW: Love Beyond Wicket, which was the actor's maiden web series. On the theatrical front, he had four releases last year, of which in two he made cameo appearances: Bun Butter Jam and Will. He also starred in Murugadoss-Sivakarthikeyan's Madharaasi and Vijay Kartikeyaa-Sudeepa's Mark, which was his first Kannada film.
