Director Ravi Arasu, known for his films Eetti and Ayngaran, on Saturday, expressed his gratitude to friends and colleagues from the film industry for wishing him on his birthday and revealed that he is working on his next directorial.
The filmmaker, who had worked on Vishal's 35th film Magudam, exited the project last year following creative differences with the actor. Later, Vishal himself stepped in to helm the actioner, marking his directorial debut. Ravi Arasu is now credited with the story for the film. Magudam wrapped filming in November 2025, with a release date announcement awaited from the makers.
Taking to his X handle, Ravi Arasu wrote, "Thank you everyone for your warm wishes, love and respect towards me. All your trust and value on me gives more motivation and responsibility to do bigger things. And will work hard to achieve it. My next Directorial Terrific Announcement soon." His post has fuelled speculations and discussions on his upcoming project and the actors who would be part of it.
Dushara Vijayan stars as the female lead in Magudam, with Anjali and Yogi Babu set to play prominent roles. Plot details are under wraps.
GV Prakash Kumar is composing music for the film. Pon Parthiban is writing the dialogues, along with Anandh Kumaresan writing the dialogues in Tamil and Rajesh A Moorthy writing the dialogues in Telugu. The crew of the film includes Richard M Nathan as the director of photography, NB Srikanth as the editor, and G Durairaj as the art director. RB Choudary is producing Magudam under his Super Good Films banner. It marks their 99th production venture.
