Director Atlee and his wife, Priya Atlee, are expecting their second child together; the couple took to social media to announce the same. Sharing photos of their maternity shoot on X, Atlee wrote, "Our home is about to get even cosier with the addition of our newest member! Yes! We are pregnant again. Need all your blessings, love and prayers. With love, Atlee, Priya, Meer, Becky, Yuki, Chocki, Coffee and Goofy."

Atlee and Priya, who tied the knot in 2014, welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in January 2023. The couple had a baby shower function in December 2022, which went on to make headlines as actor Vijay came personally to deliver a gift to them.

While Priya has acted in several short films and shot to fame with the Vijay TV serial Kana Kanum Kalangal, Atlee made his directorial debut with Raja Rani. He later went on to direct Vijay in Theri, Mersal, and Bigil.

On the work front, Atlee last helmed Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. He is currently busy with the magnum opus, AA22xA6, starring Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Shot in Telugu and English, the film will reportedly be released in two parts. As per speculations, Allu Arjun is said to play four roles in the film, while Sai Abhyankkar is set to compose music for the film.
