Director Atlee's upcoming film with Allu Arjun has been the talk of the town since it was announced in April this year. The makers have been immersed in creating a world like never before for the science fiction film which also stars Deepika Padukone in the lead. While AA22xA6 is in production, not many details regarding the story are known at the moment.
Reports suggested that Allu Arjun will be seen playing four different roles in the film. And all these four characters are said to be part of the same family lineage. However, official plot details are currently under wraps. But Atlee did reveal a few aspects of the film during a recent interview.
Speaking during the Bengaluru Open 2025 event with India Today, Atlee said, "We are shooting the film as planned and every step is a baby step. There is no bible for this kind of film. We have to incorporate a lot of bibles and work on pipelines on how to make this film. We are trying to pull something bigger for the audience to give a new taste and a new visualisation. I think everything is falling in place."
When he was asked if he is nervous about the outcome of the project and the risks involved in making it, he pinned his hope on audiences, stating that they push him to always make great films. "That’s how Raja Rani happened followed by Theri, Mersal, Bigil and Jawan. The love that audiences give makes me do all this. They expect something out of me. I don't see it as a risky attempt. We are doing something new, which is very intriguing and addictive to watch," he said.
He further disclosed that he is enjoying the process of working on AA22xA6. "We are also working with a lot of Hollywood technicians. They are also feeling this as a challenge. Let us wait for some more months and I will come up with something for all of you to watch," he added.
Reports suggest other prominent actors, including Vijay Sethupathi, Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur, are also in talks to join the ensemble. However, an official confirmation is awaited. Allu Arjun and Atlee visited leading VFX studios in Los Angeles, including Ironhead Studio and engaged with technicians like Jose Fernandez and James Madigan in the film’s first promotional video.
AA22xA6 is produced by Kalanidhi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. More details about the film’s primary cast and crew are yet to be confirmed, though Sai Abhyankkar has reportedly been signed by Atlee, who also scored music for the promo video. The film is yet to receive an official title or release date.
