The other day, the makers of Avatar: Fire and Ash, directed by James Cameron, dropped a video showing the film's technicians creating a robotic creature called "the Nightwraith". The video juxtaposed the creation of the Nightwraith with a character riding a creature in the film's trailer. Reportedly, the character is Varang, the Ash People's leader played by Oona Chaplin, and the creature is the Nightwraith. At the end of the video, we get to see a robotic version of the creature in the film flying over the crowd at the Allegiant Stadium in Nevada as they look up to see it in awe. The video has garnered further anticipation for the Cameron film, which also brings back franchise veterans such as Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang alongside Kate Winslet and David Thewlis, among others.
The Avatar sequel's making video has also drawn comparisons with Atlee and Allu Arjun's ambitious film, tentatively titled AA22. The makers of the Telugu film recently dropped a special video where Atlee and Allu Arjun can be seen interacting with the Hollywood technicians who are involved in its making. At one point, one of the technicians alludes to the presence of creatures in the film. Also starring Deepika Padukone, the film is reportedly a blend of science-fiction, martial arts and VFX, alongside creature elements.
Coming back to Avatar: Fire and Ash, the film is slated for a December 19 release in theatres worldwide.
