On Wednesday, KVN Productions, the banner behind Vijay's final film, Jana Nayagan, announced that the film's release is indefinitely postponed due to the ongoing censorship issue. With fans already dejected about the postponement, actor Ravi Mohan has now taken to X, penning a note expressing his solidarity with Vijay.

Sharing the production banner's announcement release, Ravi Mohan wrote on X, "Heartbroken, Vijay Anna... as a brother, I'm standing with you as one among the millions of brothers beside you. You don’t need a date… you are the opening. Whenever that date is… Pongal only starts then." (sic)

Interestingly, Parasakthi, which stars Ravi Mohan as the antagonist opposite Sivakarthikeyan, is slated for release on January 10. Until the postponement was announced, the clash between Jana Nayagan and Parasakthi was the most discussed topic online.

Just three days ago, Ravi Mohan shared the trailer of Jana Nayagan and praised it in an X post. He wrote, "தளபதி வெற்றி கொண்டான். #JanaNayagan Vijay Anna, you have already won for me. In everything. The trailer is super realistically you and I'm sure this movie is winning the hearts of many, including me, your forever fan and brother."

Helmed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan also stars Mamitha Baiju, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, and Prakash Raj, among others. The film was scheduled to open in theatres on January 9 but has now been pushed, as it is yet to complete censorship formalities. The film marks VIjay 69th outing, and his final film before his full-fledged political stint.

Parasakthi, on the other hand, is helmed by Sudha Kongara and also stars Sreeleela and Atharvaa. The film, set in the 1960s, is set to revolve around the Anti-Hindi agitations at the time. The film marks Sivakarthikeyan's 25th film as an actor and GV Prakash's 100th film as a composer.
