

Sudha Kongara's fourth directorial, Parasakthi, starring Sivakarthikeyan, is currently gearing up to hit theatres on January 10. According to actor Ravi Mohan, who plays the antagonist, the film is anything but conventional. As per a recent press release, the actor describes the project as a rare cinematic achievement shaped by collective passion and conviction.
Calling the film a labour of love, Ravi Mohan said, “Parasakthi is far from an ordinary film; it is a masterpiece created through the dedication and vision of countless hard-working individuals.” Reflecting on his decision to take on the antagonist’s role, the actor acknowledged the scepticism surrounding the move but asserted that his faith in the project was unwavering. “When I agreed to play the antagonist, many questioned my choice at this stage of my career. Yet, the primary reason I walked into the world of Parasakthi was none other than Sudha Kongara ma’am,” he said.
Showering praise on the director, Ravi Mohan described Sudha Kongara as a filmmaker driven by purpose and clarity. “She is a filmmaker of dreams and convictions, one whose creative instincts never falter. Working with her has been an absolute honour,” he added.
Expressing his emotional response after watching the film, the actor called Parasakthi a defining moment for Tamil cinema. “Parasakthi is truly a treasure for Tamil cinema. I have never felt such joy and fulfilment before a film’s release,” he said, adding that the final output exceeded his expectations. “After watching it, I am overwhelmed with pride and happiness, for the film has surpassed every expectation. It will undoubtedly be a grand and unforgettable cinematic experience for audiences everywhere.”
Also starring Sreeleela and Atharvaa in lead roles, Parasakthi is written by Sudha along with Arjun Nadesan, with an additional screenplay by Ganeshaa and dialogues by Madhan Karky and Shan Karuppusamy. The technical crew includes GV Prakash Kumar as music composer, Ravi K Chandran as cinematographer and Sathish Surya as editor.
Produced by Aakash Baskaran under the Dawn Pictures banner, the film has Dev Ramnath as creative producer, with MP Senthel and Rhea Kongara serving as executive producers. Red Giant Movies is distributing the film.
