Actor Sivakarthikeyan is starting the New Year on a spiritual note. Earlier this Thursday, the actor visited Vadapalani Andavar Temple with his spouse, Aarthi. The actor himself shared the news through social media. He took to Instagram, posted a couple of photographs featuring him with his wife in front of the religious establishment and wrote, "Temple bells, Auspicious Sunrise, rain-blessed beginnings, to welcome a great new year." In the caption for the post, the actor wrote, "Year of Parasakthi," followed by a flexed biceps emoticon. It would seem that the actor is flexing his muscles ahead of Parasakthi's release. Pictures from the couple's visit to the temple, with Lord Murugan as the main deity, are trending online.

Interestingly, the actor's spiritual trip comes a few days ahead of the release of his upcoming film Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara. The film is slated to hit theatres on January 10 , a day after the release of Vijay's Jana Nayagan, directed by Sudha Kongara. Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming films also include one with director Venkat Prabhu, which would mark the actor's 26th film. It is speculated that the Venkat Prabhu directorial, called SK 26, would be a science-fiction project. The actor also has a project with his Don filmmaker Cibi Chakaravarthi in the pipeline.
