The Radikaa Sarathkumar starrer Thaai Kizhavi has opened in theatres to positive reviews from both critics and audiences alike. Directed by debutant Sivakumar Murugesan, the film is produced by Sivakarthikeyan under his namesake banner. Actor Radikaa appreciated Sivakarthikeyan for supporting a female-centric film such as Thaai Kizhavi in a recent interaction with the media.
Speaking about it and Sivakarthikeyan, Radikaa said, "He is a big hero now. He can produce a film starring himself; he can do anything now. However, he also deserves praise for making such a film while keeping the female audience in mind."
Radikaa described Sivakarthikeyan producing the film as "a big deal".
In our Thaai Kizhavi movie review, Avinash Ramachandran wrote, "It might seem like a poignant tale of parents and children, but it is also a film that makes you unabashedly laugh out loud."
The actor also said that Kamal Haasan, who starred with her in multiple films, including 1986's Swathi Muthyam, invested all of his money in cinema. She advised Sivakarthikeyan to follow a similar path. "Do not put all your money into films blindly. You should plan it very well," she told Sivakarthikeyan, eliciting a positive response from the latter.
In addition to his acting, Sivakarthikeyan is known for producing films, led by female characters as well. He made his debut as a producer with the 2018 drama Kanaa, starring Aishwarya Rajesh and Sathyaraj in the lead roles. Speaking about the film, Aishwarya Rajesh, who recently won a Best Actress (Special Mention) award for her performance in it, besides her work in Vada Chennai, praised producer Sivakarthikeyan. At the time, Aishwarya wrote, "My special thanks also go to our producer, actor Sivakarthikeyan, without whose backing this film would not have seen the light of day."
