Soon after the release of the KH x RK promo video, film fraternity members and fans are expressing their excitement for the project that reunites two of Indian cinema's biggest stars after a long time. Nelson Dilipkumar is directing the film, bringing Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan back together after 1979's Allauddinum Albhutha Vilakkum.

Sharing the KH x RK promo, actor Jiiva wrote, "Frame a Paarunga Jiii (look at the frame). Watching two legends together, nothing but goosebumps! Theatre summa Blast dhaan.. (it is going to be a blast in theatres)."

Meanwhile, Tourist Family director and With Love star Abishan Jeevinth said that the film is sure to succeed, seemingly because of the presence of both superstars in it.

Sharing his excitement for the project, director Nelson wrote, "Some frames are iconic. Some frames are historic. Truly honoured and humbled to announce my next film. Reunion with the legends, superstar Rajinikanth sir and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan sir. With my dearest friend Anirudh."

Sharing the glimpse for the film, actor Kishen Das wrote, "Woah." Elsewhere, Aju Varghese said, "Wow !!! Epic Reunion." And elsewhere, Dude director Keerthiswaran wrote, "+100000000 Aura".

Meanwhile, actor Shrisha, known for her work in Stephen and Suzhal: The Vortext, wrote, "Glad to be alive while this is happening." The actor also asked who the heroine in the film is. It is worth noting that at the end of the KH x RK promo, both Rajinikanth and Kamal ask director Nelson among the two is the film's hero. Notably, the promo video only has models merely used to attract the male gaze, which is gaining criticism from some corners.

However, fans are liking the fact that both stars seem to make fun of each other, whereas the glimpse video pokes fun at the intense fan debates about their abilities as actors. Many fans expressed their appreciation for Nelson for making both actors shed their vanity and agree to do a film such as this.
