Recently, we reported about Lokesh Kanagaraj joining hands with Allu Arjun for a film. With Mythri Movie Makers attached to the project as its producer, the film was announced in January this year.

Earlier this Wednesday, Lokesh shared an image featuring him with Allu Arjun. In the caption, the filmmaker revealed that the theme music for the film has been featured in more than one million reels.

The yet-to-be-titled project marks the 23rd film in the career of the actor, best known for his roles in Happy, the Arya films, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, and the Pushpa franchise. At the same time, it marks Lokesh's seventh film as a director. Therefore, it has been tentatively referred to as AA 23 and LK 7, respectively.

The makers are yet to reveal any details about the film's plot. On the technical front, it will have music by Anirudh. It brings the composer back together with the director after collaborations on Master, Vikram, Leo, and Coolie.

The recent confirmation of the project by Mythri Movie Makers put an end to months-long speculation about the collaboration between Lokesh and the Pushpa star. At the time of the film's announcement, the production banner also revealed it would have a pan-India release, as with the Pushpa franchise.

Lokesh has multiple projects in the pipeline, including as an actor, producer and director. Recently, the makers of his first film with Saani Kaayidham and Captain Miller director Arun Matheswaran announced DC as its title. Also starring Wamiqa Gabbi and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, the film marks Lokesh's debut as a lead actor. Earlier, the director also announced a superhero film with Aamir Khan. His upcoming projects include Benz, the LCU film that he produces and that stars Raghava Lawrence and Nivin Pauly in the lead roles. On the other hand, Allu Arjun is working on an ambitious project with Atlee.
