Earlier, we reported about Jayaram and Urvashi starring in a comedy film, directed by Pandiraaj. Recently, Jayaram spoke about working on the film.

Speaking to Mathrubhumi, the actor said that he used a Malayalam word, Shavam, while shooting for the film. The word means 'dead body' but is also used to show contempt, sarcasm and/or frustration at someone. "It is not a word that we should use in Tamil but is rather a Malayalam term. However, at one point, I say it to Urvashi's character in the film. The director asked me about its meaning, and I explained it to him. He liked it and allowed it to be kept in the film," Jayaram said.

The actor has used the word in different ways in multiple Malayalam films, especially comedies. One of the more iconic references is in 2010's Happy Husbands, where the actor plays the disloyal spouse of a suspicious woman, played by Bhavana. The word appears at one point where his character vents out his frustration about his wife's suspicions.

While they appear together in 2020's Putham Pudhu Kaalai, the upcoming film brings Jayaram and Urvashi back together in full-length roles for the first time after 20 years. When he announced the news about the film recently, Jayaram said that it has a "massively entertaining, humour-filled narrative." The actor added that the film often required multiple retakes as he and Urvashi would laugh, because of the humorous nature of the screenplay. "Pandiraaj sir would wait for us to finish laughing to start shooting the next scene," the actor revealed.

The actors' credits together in Malayalam include Chakkikotha Chankaran, Kadinjool Kalyanam, Malootty, Marupuram, Koodikazhcha, Madhuchandralekha, and Mukha Chithram. In Tamil, they have also appeared together in Panchatanthiram, headlined by Kamal Haasan.

The makers of the Pandiraaj directorial are yet to reveal further details about the project.
