Interestingly, just weeks earlier, Khan had admitted he hadn’t yet seen the film. Speaking at the International Film Festival of Delhi 2026, he said, “I have not seen the film yet. But I hear only praises of the film. Dhurandhar 1 and now Dhurandhar 2. Both the films have done exceptionally well, and my very best wishes to the team.”

The sequel builds on the success of Dhurandhar, which released in December 2025 and went on to gross over Rs 1300 crore globally. Headlined by Ranveer Singh, the franchise follows an undercover Indian intelligence operative who infiltrates Karachi’s underworld and political networks to dismantle a terror threat targeting India. The sequel continues this high-stakes narrative, with a cast that also includes Sanjay Dutt alongside the returning ensemble.
