On Sunday, director Ravi Arasu, known for films like Eetti and Ayngaran, dropped an important update about his next directorial. The update about his next comes three months after the filmmaker launched his own production banner, titled Five C's Films.

Ravi Arasu made his directorial debut with Eetti in 2015, starring Atharvaa and Sri Divya in lead roles. His sophomore directorial was Ayngaran (2022), headlined by GV Prakash. Prior to his directorial debut, Ravi Arasu was an assistant director to Vetri Maaran since 2004 for 10 years.

Now, the filmmaker has announced that he is collaborating with his mentor, Vetri Maaran, and his second hero, GV Prakash, for his next. Taking to X, the director shared, "Feeling very blessed to join hands with two of the most celebrated legends of Indian cinema. Our national award winners, Vetrimaaran Sir and darling Gv Prakash, are on the team for my next project. My next directorial blazing announcement is firing soon. BUCKLE UP."

More details about the cast, crew, plot, genre, and title of his next are awaited. Ravi Arasu, who had worked on Vishal's 35th film Magudam, exited the project last year following creative differences with the actor. Later, Vishal himself stepped in to helm the actioner, marking his directorial debut recently, on August 14 with the film's release. Ravi Arasu is now credited with the story for the film.

In 2020, it was announced that Ravi Arasu is directing a film with Shivarajkumar in the lead, titled RDX. However, details about the development of the film are scant, and the project hasn't materialised so far. It is yet to be known if his upcoming directorial will be produced under his home banner.
