On Friday, the makers of Arulnithi's next, co-starring Ameer, unveiled the title and first glimpse of the film. Following Suriya's avatar as Madurai's Karuppusamy, Arulnithi is all set to don the deity's attire for this film, which has been titled Vetta Saami. Interestingly, the first glimpse was unveiled by Karuppu director RJ Balaji.
The first glimpse introduces us to a village temple festival with devotees gathered for prayer amidst festivities and singing. We then see Arulnithi in a fierce avatar, dressed as Karuppusamy, following which we see Ameer as a devout person, carrying out the rituals of the festival. The first glimpse promises another thrilling divine experience like Suriya's Karuppu.
Vetta Saami is written and directed by M Selvakumar, who has previously directed the 2023 film Bumper. Meanwhile, Samuel Mathew is producing the upcoming film under his 7 Miles Per Second Productions banner. The upcoming film will be the banner's second production after the Siddharth-starrer Miss You (2024).
The film also stars Aadukalam Naren, Madhusudhan Rao, Hareesh Peradi, Viji Chandrasekar, Indumathi Manikandan, Mynaa Nandhini, director Tamizh, Kavitha Bharathi, Sathish Kannan, Ayaz Khan, Murali Abbas, Aaru Bala, TSK, OAK Sundar, Arjai, Nandhini, Seranraj, Jegan Kaviraj, Feroz, Dhanush Karthik, Sanjay, and Jashik, among others. The crew of the film includes composer Ghibran, director of photography RD Rajasekar, and editor Ruben.
Arulnithi was last seen in Arulvaan, which was released in theatres in July 2026. The actor also has Ajay Gnanamuthu's Demonte Colony 3, which is set to release on September 10, in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Ameer's latest release was the 2025 sports drama Bison Kaalamaadan, which was written and directed by Mari Selvaraj.
