

Two months ahead of its release, Arulnithi's much-anticipated horror flick Demonte Colony 3, has cleared censorship formalities with an 'A' certificate. This is the first time a Demonte Colony film has received an 'A' certificate from the board in its decade-long history. The previous two films were given a U/A certificate. Additionally, director Ajay Gnanamuthu, who is helming this film after directing the first two films, announced a change in its release date.
Sharing the news via his social media handles with a short video, Ajay Gnanamuthu said, "The darkness is back. Demonte Colony 3 officially censored A. Not for the faint hearted. Brace Yourself. The darkness returns on September 10." This new date is a day prior to the earlier announced date of September 11.
Demonte Colony 3 comes with the tagline 'The End is Too Far'. As earlier reported, Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar are reprising their roles from earlier films in the franchise. Muthukumar and Meenakshi Govindarajan will be seen in supporting roles. It was recently revealed that Guru Somasundaram plays a dreaded librarian who is the harbinger of death in the film. Antti Jaaskelainen, GM Kumar, Sree Kumar, Kathir, Ashiq Hussain, Sarjano Khalid and Archana Ravichandran also play pivotal roles.
Sam CS returns as the music composer for the third instalment. The other members of the technical team include cinematography by Sivakumar Vijayan, and editing by Kumaresh D. Venkatesh and Arun Haiku Sakthi have served as writers on the film, which features dialogues by Pattukkottai Prabakar.
Sudhan Sundaram is backing Demonte Colony 3 under his Passion Studios banner, with Manish Singhal producing under the Dangal Media banner, and Durgaram Choudhary producing under his RDX TV banner. RC Rajkumar, Akshat Singhal, Mohit Singhal serving as co-producers.
