Actor Kavin, who is awaiting the release of Hi, directed by Vishnu Edavan, reflected on his career so far while responding to a viral comment about him working with Nayanthara in the upcoming romantic entertainer.

At the trailer launch of their film, the Mask actor recalled reading a comment that said, "Kavin who was acting in serials, would have never imagined working with Nayanthara." "I remember reading the comment under the first look poster of Hi. In Trichy, when Nayanthara's Yaaradi Nee Mohini (2008) released, 23 of us went to watch the film. 10 of us did not have tickets. We somehow made it inside. That Kavin would have never thought about acting alongside Nayanthara," he laughed, adding that this was "beyond his bucket list."

"I never had this on my list, but when it happened, it made me feel happy that I have done something good in life. I am grateful to God for this opportunity," he said.

For the unversed, Kavin began his career with a notable appearance on the popular TV serial Kana Kaanum Kaalangal. He then went on to play the lead in Saravanan Meenatchi season 2 which propelled his fame across Tamil audiences. After playing small roles in Karthik Subbaraj’s Pizza (2012) and R Ravikumar’s Indru Netru Naalai (2015), Kavin made his first big screen debut as lead in Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma (2019). In 2019, Kavin rose to wider fame by participating in the third season of Bigg Boss Tamil.

His upcoming film Hi's cast also includes late actor Bhagyaraj, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Prabhu, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan, Amrutha Srinivasan, Aadhithya Kadhir, Kureshi, FEFSI Vijayan, Renji Panicker, Kaviya Arivumani, and Mirchy Kemy, among others.

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan are producing the film under their Rowdy Pictures banner along with SS Lalit Kumar who is producing under the Seven Screen Studio banner.
