Actor Sivakarthikeyan took to his social media handle to share his thoughts on Arun Matheswaran's DC. The film, which features Lokesh Kanagaraj, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sanjana AK in the lead, opened in theatres on August 7.
"DC was a blast! A superb cinematic experience! Lokesh Kanagaraj andd Arun Matheswaran have come together to deliver a solid action film packed with loads of high moments. Congrats to the entire team - all the actors and technicians - for delivering such a fantastic film," wrote Sivakarthikeyan sharing his thoughts through his Instagram handle's story section.
On Anirudh's work in the film, Sivakarthikeyan wrote, "And my dearmost Rockstar, my Nanban Anirudh. I'm proud maxxxxx! You've become truly incomparable, creating your own thrown and ruling it from style! Love you loads!"
DC is an adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's Devadas. CE's review of the film reads, "Be it Rocky, Saani Kaayidham, Captain Miller, or DC, director Arun Matheswaran is clear about the stories he wants to tell. These are not stories of the people Tamil cinema always loves to tell. These people are, let’s call them, Arun Matheswaran’s Irregulars. They are the people whose lives are forever on the fringe. People whose lives are never important enough for the majority. However, these stories didn’t always translate into convincing cinema since the sum of the parts didn’t do much for the whole.
