Actor Sanath's latest outing in the theatres, Heartin, is now gearing up for its OTT premiere. The film, a romantic drama directed by Kishore Kumar, hit theatres on June 26 and opened to largely mixed reviews. Madonna Sebastian and Emaya T also star in the lead role in the film.
In Heartin, after a difficult separation with Sahitya (Madonna Sebastian), Shiva (Sananth), a renowned chef in Jaipur, is recuperating. He falls in love again with Sadhana (Emaya T.), but an unexpected accident erases his most recent memories, trapping him in the past.
Apart from Sanath, Madonna and Emaya, the film also stars 'Whatsapp' Mani, Debnita Kar, Pragathi, Uma Padmanabhan, Ajit Kushwaha, and Mathew Varghese, among others. On the technical team, the film has Mukes handling cinematography, Rajesh Murugesan composing music, and Barath Vikraman handling the cuts. Heartin has been produced by R Ravindran under the banner of Trident Arts and co-produced by Step One Studios.
An excerpt from CE's review of Heartin reads, "The film is a romantic drama without a beating heart, convinced that a handful of ideas and a cookie-cutter approach to characters and emotions are enough to carry it through. In a way, the film lives up to its title. The heart in Heartin is merely a decorative symbol of love, not the flesh-and-blood organ that pumps life into it. If the emotional journey of a romance can be likened to an ECG, it should have soaring peaks and crushing valleys. Instead, Heartin remains a flat line, never truly coming alive, never leaving an impact."
More than a month and a half after its theatrical release, Heartin is all set to premiere on Prime Video on August 14.
