After his recent release, Habeebi, filmmaker Meera Kathiravan is set to direct his next with Raahul of Romeo Pictures producing.

Raahul announced on his social media handle, while also updating that the film will go on floors this December. The cast and crew of the film will be announced soon. It is worth noting that Raahul served as the distributor of Meera's Habeebi.

Meera's Habeebi, which starred Malavika Manoj, veteran filmmaker Kasturi Raja, Esha, Dhanashree Sudhakaran, Anusreya Rajan, and Arulkumar, released in theatres on June 12. The film opened to mixed reviews. An excerpt from the CE review of the film reads, "Habeebi fails to channel the potential it possesses and succumbs to the same narrative cliches that it wants to move away from."

In addition to the new film with Meera Kathiravan, Raahul is also producing Vikram Prabhu's 26th film, directed by debutant Siddharth, Akash Murali's second film, with director Harsha Varathan, and an untitled film with Ravi Mohan.

This new film marks Meera Kathiravan's fourth film after Aval Peyar Tamilarasi (2009), Vizhithiru (2017) and the recent film Habeebi.
