Recently, we reported about actor Krishna playing a police officer in his 25th film, written and directed by debutant Balakrishnan. Around six months after wrapping production on the film, tentatively titled Krishna 25 and KK 25, the makers revealed that its first-look and second-look posters will be out on August 03, Monday. Calling it a "special" film in his career, the actor revealed that it will introduce a fresh genre to the Tamil film industry. "Need support from all you lovely people," the actor wrote.

Krishna has not had a release since the critically appreciated role as a police officer in JioHotstar's miniseries Parachute. After this series, the actor got into some law enforcement trouble over a drug bust case before Madras High Court granted him conditional bail.

Coming back to Krishna 25, its filmmaker Balakrishnan recently worked as an assistant director for Rebel, starring GV Prakash in the lead role. The upcoming film is set to mark his directorial debut, in addition to the maiden production venture of Mahendraraj Santhosh Kumar. The film is produced by Mahendraraj under the Manu Manthra Creations alongside Kathiravan Karunanithi.

The makers call it "edge-of-seat crime investigation thriller laced with lots of twists and turns." The film's technical team includes cinematographer Gopal Krishnan, composer Kiran Surath N, editor Kavin Adithya, and art director Venkat Bala.

The makers are expected to announce further details about the project in the coming days, including its additional cast and release date.

Krishna is known for films such as Kazhugu, Nibunan, and Joshua: Imai Pol Kaakha, among others. His upcoming films also include The Mummy Returns, directed by Jai Amar Singh. The Mummy Returns also has actors Lollu Sabha Maaran, Redin Kingsley, Bjorn Surrao, Devadarshini, and Swathi Muppala.
