Vishal travels from faraway Magudam set to vote, says 'distance doesn’t matter'

Earlier this Thursday, we reported about actor Vishal casting his vote in the Tamil Nadu Election 2026 and urging the public to do so. A while ago, the actor took to social media and revealed that he made an extra effort to ensure that he cast his vote this time around.

Sharing a picture featuring him with his father, Vishal wrote, "Taking the day off and travelling all the way from Kakinada and now another 1000 kms to get back to shoot tomorrow morning to cast my vote just actually made my day."

For the unversed, the actor's film Magudam is being shot in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The actor underscored that it is not important as to how long one travels to cast their vote. "Distance doesn’t matter. Exercising our right to vote is more important."

Many actors spoke positively about the fact that a large number of youngsters have turned up at their polling locations today. Speaking about it, Vishal wrote, "Happy to see the turnout of polling so far in Tamil Nadu. Glad to see ppl of all ages coming out to vote. May the best candidate win and the best mandate for TN announced on May 4th. God bless."

On the film front, Vishal also has a film titled Purushan, which recently entered its second production schedule.
