It is polling day at the Tamil Nadu Election 2026, and this time, there has been a greater interest in knowing who will come out victorious partly because actor Vijay is contesting in two constituencies. Composer-actor GV Prakash talked about the greater interest shown by young people in the election.
The composer-actor spoke to the media after casting his vote at a polling location in T Nagar, Chennai. He tried to leave after saying that he has cast his vote and asking the public to do the same. However, reporters asked him about his opinion on this year's election. Addressing whether the Tamil Nadu Election holds greater significance this time, GV Prakash said, "Every election is important, not just this one, because we are going to live here at the end of the day."
Then, another reporter told him that there has been greater participation from youngsters in the election this time around. Responding to it, he said, "That is a good thing. I think it is a good sign that youngsters are following politics so keenly."
He was also asked whether people are seeking a change in the government after the election. Responding to the question on everyone's minds, the composer-actor said, "The results will decide that; people will determine who will rule the state. Let us wait for the results on May 04. Thank you."
