Vishal, who is busy with two of his much-anticipated projects Magudam and Purushan, has shared updates on films. Posting a video on his Instagram handle where he was seen sporting a look for Magudam, the actor revealed that he has completed filming the first schedule of the Sundar C directorial and is stepping into the final schedule of Magudam, which marks his filmmaking debut following Ravi Arasu's exit from the movie last year.

Earlier last year, Vishal spoke about how he wrapped 17 days of "intense" and "extensive" shoot for the climax portions. "(It was) a cinema spectacle, that unfolded over 17 consecutive days of rigorous shoot of 6 am to 6 pm (12 hours) filming. The epic sequence resonating much like a war featuring hundreds of artists and totality of 800 crew members including top computer graphics team and technicians stands as a testament to the film's scale, ambition, and artistry," the press note read.

Dushara Vijayan, Anjali, and Yogi Babu are playing key roles in Magudam, which has music by GV Prakash Kumar. While plot details are unknown, Vishal looks to be playing three distinct characters in the film, as revealed by the earlier posters.

With Purushan, Vishal has reunited with Sundar C and composer Hip Hop Tamizha after 2015's Aambala. The film also stars Tamannaah and Yogi Babu. Purushan marks Tamannaah's third collaboration (Action and Aranmanai 4) and Vishal’s fourth (Aambala, Action and Madha Gaja Raja) with Sundar C.

The film is expected to be an action-comedy film, in which a docile husband hides his violent side from his wife. Sundar C is directing the film with a screenplay and dialogues from his frequent collaborator Venkatt Ragavan.
