Vijay's final film before his full-time stint in politics, Jana Nayagan, is currently in the post-production stage, gearing up to hit theatres for Pongal 2026. As the excitement is sky-high for the H Vinoth directorial, the latest reports and speculations on the internet have revealed that Vijay will fight humanoids in the climax of the film.

Buzz on the internet suggests that Jana Nayagan will culminate in a grand climax sequence, with Thalapathy Vijay taking on a swarm of humanoids. The high-octane finale is said to delve into the theme of humans versus AI. Rumours further claim that the action block could rank among the most visually spectacular moments ever attempted in Indian cinema. However, official confirmation is awaited. Lokesh Kanagaraj worked with Vijay on Master and Leo. Atlee helmed Vijay's Theri, Mersal and Bigil. Nelson and Vijay worked together for Beast.

Reports also suggested that N Anand, General Secretary of Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam, actor-politician Vijay's political party, will appear in the film. Apart from Vijay,Jana Nayagan stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani, Teejay Arunasalam, and Sunil, among others. Vijay will be seen as a cop in the upcoming film.

Jana Nayagan is produced by Venkat K Narayana and co-produced by Lohith N K and Jagadish Palanisamy. The film will be released in theatres on January 9, 2026, for the Pongal festival season.
