Actor VTV Ganesh, who is known for his comedic roles in several films, recently recalled a scene from Vijay's 2022 action film Beast that made him a familiar name and earn massive fame in the Telugu Film Industry.

The actor, who was speaking at the press meet of Kiss, Kavin's upcoming film with choreographer-turned-director Sathish Krishnan, said, "I said one dialogue that propelled my fame across the Telugu states. I couldn't understand why. I have done many dialogues like that in several films including 'Inga enna solludhu' from Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. This particular scene had surpassed that iconic line. My dialogue ended with me slightly spitting on Sathish's character. Seeing that, someone caught me at the airport and praised me for the role and told me he watched the film 20 times for that."

Ganesh mentioned the incident while criticising the makers for replacing his voice in the Telugu trailer of Kiss. "When I acted with Vijay in Beast, fans applauded my voice. That voice is my strength. I am grateful to Vijay sir for having me in Beast. Because of that film, I got many opportunities in Telugu. But they changed my voice in the Kiss trailer. It wasn't right," he said. "I am currently acting in eight Telugu films with Naga Chaitanya, Chiranjeevi, and others. I know Telugu. But the makers haven't used my voice. I'm ready to dub tomorrow," he added.

He slyly pointed out the same to director Sathish, noting that if it was a female director, they would immediately comply with the request.

Kiss, also starring Preethi Asrani as the female lead, marks the maiden directorial of dance choreographer Satish Krishnan. The film is the first collaboration between the lead actors and the director.

While specific details about the film's plot remain undisclosed, Kiss follows Kavin's character, a man known for morally policing couples and expressing a strong aversion to public displays of affection (PDA).

The film's technical crew has cinematographer Harish Kannan, editor RC Pranav, art director Mohan Mahendran, and stunt directors Peter Hein, Dinesh Subbarayan, and Rambo Vimal.

Kiss is slated for release in theatres on September 19.
