It has been about a year since the release of the medical drama series Heart Beat, starring Anumol and Karthik Kumar, on JioHostar. Recently, Anumol spoke highly of Karthik, her co-star in the series. Speaking to the magazine Kumudam, Anumol said that she identifies Karthik instantly by his character's name in the series, Vijay, rather than his real name. "When people call him Karthik Kumar or KK sir, I would wonder who that is because I have gotten used to calling him Vijay. He is a very comfortable co-actor," Anumol said. She also stated that acting alongside Karthik makes her want to improve her own performance. "He does certain minute expressions, making us wonder, 'We should not go below that'. There is a beautiful give-and-take dynamic between us. When Vijay gives a reaction, mine would automatically come."

Karthik shared the video on his Instagram Stories and expressed his gratitude to his co-star. "Kindest words from my favourite co actor Anumol. The vibe on set is my favourite energy," he wrote. Writer-director Deepak Sundarrajan's series revolves around doctors and patients at a multispeciality hospital. It also has a second season as well that dropped on JioHotstar a few months ago.
