After breaching the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide, Pradeep Ranganathan-Mamitha Baiju's Dude is aiming to zoom past the mark in India as well. 13 days after its release, the romantic action entertainer continues to maintain its steady pace, and is inches away from crossing Rs 70 crore in collections across India.

Dude earned Rs 56.5 crore in its first week after adding close to Rs 10 crore everyday for the first five days of release. Since its sixth day, the film's collections oscillated between Rs 2 to 4 crore. For the last three days, its revenue had dipped to over Rs 1 crore.

Upon release on October 17 ahead of Diwali, the film emerged as the frontrunner in collections despite clash with Mari Selvaraj-Dhruv Vikram's Bison and Harish Kalyan's Diesel. It marked Pradeep's biggest opening in his career with over Rs 10 crore in revenue, beating his own Love Today and Dragon. Despite dip in daily revenue, the film continues its victory march across theatres.

Dude also stars Rohini, Neha Shetty, and Hridhu Haroon, among others. It tells the story of cousins (Pradeep and Mamitha) who come together to set up a new event-planning business. However, when one of them get closer to the other, that person falls in love with the latter and suggests getting married, making things complicated between the two.

Our CE review of the film by Prashanth Vallavan read, "Dude might have failed to engage but you can definitely see a fresh and unique voice, with Keerthiswaran’s visual directorial style. Every character has their own rhythm and energy, everyone is always in motion, which lends itself to a wonderfully chaotic energy on screen."

Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, the film features music by Sai Abhyankkar in his Tamil cinema debut. The rest of the crew of the film includes Niketh Bommi as the cinematographer, Barath Vikraman as the editor, Latha Naidu as the production designer, and Yannick Ben and Dinesh Subbarayan as the stunt choreographers.
