On Monday, at the pre-release event of his upcoming film, Aan Paavam Pollathathu, Rio Raj expressed his heartfelt gratitude to actor and producer Sivakarthikeyan for his constant support.

Rio Raj made his film debut with Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja, which was produced by Sivakarthikeyan. Thanking him for being the pillar behind his debut in cinema, Rio said, "The first and foremost reason for this film, my previous films and all my upcoming films is Sivakarthikeyan. If he didn't trust Karthik Venugopalan for Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja, Hariharan Ram wouldn't have stood a chance with Joe, and Swineeth S Sukumar wouldn't have stood a chance with Sweetheart!. Neither would Kalaiarasan Thangavel have been able to make Aan Pavam Pollathathu. Thank you, Sivakarthikeyan Anna, for trusting me when I made my debut."

Aan Paavam Pollathathu also stars Malavika Manoj in the lead role. The previously released trailer of the film showed Rio and Malavika's characters as newlyweds whose honeymoon phase comes to an end sooner than expected. As their differences overpower the love they have for each other, the two decide to take the legal route to part ways, but that seems to come with its own set of challenges.

Apart from Rio and Malavika, who are reuniting after Joe (2023), the film also features Sheela Rajkumar, Jenson Dhivakar, and RJ Vigneshkanth in pivotal roles. With a story, screenplay, and dialogue by Sivakumar Murugesan, the film has music by Siddhu Kumar, cinematography by Madhesh Manickam, and editing by Varun KG. Aan Paavam Pollathathu is bankrolled by Drumsticks Productions. The film is all set to hit theatres on October 31.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan, last seen in Madharaasi, has Parasakthi coming up. Having wrapped shooting recently, the Sudha Kongara directorial, also starring Atharvaa, Sreeleela and Ravi Mohan, is set to open in theatres on January 14 for Pongal.
