After operating at racing speeds in its successful run at box office, Pradeep Ranganathan's Dude has wrapped its week one collections with almost Rs 56.55 crore. The romantic action entertainer, which marked the actor-director's biggest opening in his career with over Rs 10 crore in revenue on October 17, has added more than Rs 2.25 on its seventh day in theatres, according to Sacnilk.

Afternoon and night shows continue to show strong occupancy with majority of revenue coming from Chennai and Puducherry. Apart from Tamil, the Telugu version continues to hold fort with collections upward of Rs 2 crore on the first three days, followed by over a crore till day 5. Worldwide, the film has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark and continues to bring crowds to theatres, thanks to debut director Keerthiswaran's engaging storyline and strong performances from Pradeep Ranganathan, Mamitha Baiju and Sarath Kumar.

Dude also stars Rohini, Neha Shetty, and Hridhu Haroon, among others. In our review of the film, Prashanth Vallavan wrote, "The film has a wacky infectious energy, and uses it to make hard-hitting commentary on social themes, but fails to leave a lasting impact."

Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, the film features music by Sai Abhyankkar in his Tamil cinema debut. The rest of the crew of the film includes Niketh Bommi as the cinematographer, Barath Vikraman as the editor, Latha Naidu as the production designer, and Yannick Ben and Dinesh Subbarayan as the stunt choreographers.
